Animal Kingdom

Animal kingdom’s large collection of animals, some free roaming and others caged, have traveled from six continents to make their home at Animal Kingdom.

Unparalleled Primate Collection

Animal Kingdom boasts one of the largest collection of primates in the United States.  Among our honored guests  we include the Mandrill Baboon with its stunning blue face,  exotic Japanese Snow Macaques, three species of  lemurs and fifteen other species of primates.  We are also honored to have many endangered species here at Animal kingdom.  The Spot Nosed Guenon being among the rarest..

Giraffes in New Jersey

Here at Animal Kingdom, we have seven giraffes—two  which are babies born here in New Jersey.  Did you know that baby giraffes  weigh about 150 pounds when they are born?

Tapir Fun

We are lucky enough to have five Tapirs here at  Animal Kingdom.  Tapirs are from South America and are a cousin on the horse although they look much more like a hippo.  We have a baby here  too (above) who is only six months old.

One hump or two?

The camels here  at Animal Kingdom have one!  Did you know that the camels hump Is  used to store fat not water?    Camels are from Asia and are at home in the desert.  There isn’t any desert here at Animal kingdom but we give them a large pile of sand in the summer to lay on.

Endangered Species

Here at Animal Kingdom we are pleased to host many endangered species including; Tapirs, mandrill baboons, Colobus monkeys, addax, and three species of lemur to name a few.
